CMS Sports Calendar

All steps must be completed before registration is complete. Please read all of the information below carefully.

SPRING 2025 Sports Registration is NOW OPEN!

SPRING Sports Registration CLOSE on 03/10/25 

SPRING Sports Include:

  • CMS Field Hockey (grades 5-8),
  • CMS Baseball (grades 7-8)
  • CMS Softball (grades 7-8). 

All SPRING Tryouts/Practices Start: 03/17/25 

Coaches will communicate during the season and are the first point of contact for all team matters.

(*ALL clearance/eligibility documents must be received in order to try out*) 

**Physical Exams – ALL SCHOOLS**

Student-athletes must have a current qualifying sports physical exam form on file in final forms. Physicals are good for 13 months from the exact date of your last physical. This is a Massachusetts Department of Public Health mandated requirement. 

Physical exams should be submitted as soon as they are completed, and a valid physical exam dated within the last 13 months and uploaded into final forms. 

Student physicals are required to be uploaded into FinalForms. We encourage this to be done well in advance for staff members to monitor the documents. THERE IS NO STUDENTS ALLOWED at TRYOUTS UNLESS fully approved with registration and has an active physical uploaded. 

Where to get physicals: Available at cost from most urgent care facilities, including ReadyMed, CareWell, CVS MinuteClinic, Family Doctors, and others. The MIAA has partnered with urgent care provider ConvenientMD to offer sports physicals, as well. 

**PARENT/STUDENT SIGNATURES & QUESTIONS ON FINAL FORMS- ALL SCHOOLS** 

It is required for all DCRSD parents/guardians and student-athletes to finish all registration signatures and questions that are asked in final forms. Questions and signatures will pertain to various items such as  liability, medical, emergency, and more.

**SPRING SPORTS PRESEASON MEETING 03/10/25

All returning and first time attend the 2025 SPRING Sports Preseason Meeting on 03/10/25 at Shepherd Hill in the auditorium at 6:00PM. 

All student-athletes and parents/guardians (or adult sponsors) are expected to satisfy this requirement prior to tryouts.

There will be individual team breakout sessions – the student-athlete and at least one parent/guardian (or adult sponsor) attend to meet the coach, get any questions answered, and take any written information related to the upcoming season.

If parents have any questions prior to the season, they can send an email to a coach listed. We encourage email to your coach to be the best point of contact for updates and team information before and during the seasons.
